How do I know if my furniture is worth re-upholstering?
Re-upholster your furniture if it is quality furniture that has a sturdy, well-made frame; is an heirloom that has sentimental value for you, or is an antique piece.  

How much will it cost to re-upholster furniture?
The cost to re-upholster your furniture depends on the type of furniture since each piece is different. It will depend on whether it has loose cushions, skirts, tuffing, buttons, etc. We can give you an estimate if you call and describe the piece to us.

How experienced are your upholsterers?
Caroline Center Upholstery is an upholstery shop as well as a training center.  We have two master upholsterers, with over 75 years of upholstery experience who train our women in the art of upholstery. They oversee every step of the process, guiding the women as they learn their craft. Some of the women have completed their upholstery training and are employed as upholsterers in our shop.
 
Is there a guarantee on your upholstery work?
Yes, we guarantee our work.  We aren’t satisfied until you are!

Do you sell fabric?
Yes we sell upholstery fabric and will discount the fabric if we re-upholster the piece.  We have many fabric books for you to select from in our fabric salon.  We also include care instructions for the fabrics purchased.

Can I supply my own fabric?
Yes, however we do offer a discount on our upholstery fabric which is beneficial to you.  If you decide to purchase fabric elsewhere, please make sure it is suitable for upholstery and you know what the care instructions are. 

How much fabric is needed for my furniture?
The amount of fabric to purchase depends on the furniture, its style, and the fabric pattern.  It is best to call us for an estimate of yardage so you will be sure to purchase the correct amount. Of course, if you purchase your fabric from us you won’t have to worry about that.

Do you refinish the wood?
No, we do not refinish the wood, however, we do polish it with a special polish that hides the scratches and brings back its original luster.

How long will it take to re-upholster my furniture?
That depends on the type of furniture we are re-upholstering – a sofa will take longer than a chair.  However, we will give you an estimate of the time it will take and schedule it so your furniture is absent from home for as short a time as possible.

Do you offer pickup and delivery service?
Yes we can pickup and deliver your furniture. We do charge a slight fee for this which we donate to Christopher Place Employment Academy – a job readiness program for men.
